Welcome to BodyBuilder AI™ ("we", "us", "our"). By using our website, web app, or any related services (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Who can use BodyBuilder AI

You must be at least 18 years old and physically able to engage in resistance training. By using the Service, you confirm both. If you have any medical condition, are pregnant, recovering from injury, or have ever been advised against intense exercise, you must consult a licensed physician before starting any program generated by the Service.

2. What the Service is — and what it isn't

BodyBuilder AI is an AI-powered coaching tool that generates personalized workout programs, meal plans, and physique check-in analyses based on information you provide. It uses third-party AI models (currently Anthropic's Claude) to produce its output.

The Service is NOT medical, nutritional, or therapeutic advice. It is general fitness information delivered by software. We are not your doctor, registered dietitian, physical therapist, or licensed coach. Output from the Service is for educational and informational purposes only.

You assume full responsibility for any exercise, diet, or lifestyle decision you make based on the Service. Stop immediately and seek medical attention if you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or any other warning signs.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Most features require a paid subscription billed monthly through Stripe. Current tiers are listed on our website. By purchasing, you authorize us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.

Cancellation: You may cancel anytime via the Stripe link in your email receipt or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
Refunds: Subscriptions are non-refundable except where required by law. We may, at our sole discretion, issue partial or full refunds case-by-case.
Price changes: We may change pricing for future billing periods with at least 14 days' notice. Founding 100 members retain their locked-in rate for as long as they maintain an unbroken subscription.
Failed payments: If your payment fails, your access may be suspended until payment is resolved.

4. Your account and access

Access to the app is tied to your purchase. Don't share your access link or session ID with others. We may suspend or terminate accounts for abuse, fraud, chargebacks, or violation of these Terms.

5. User content (photos, intake info, chat)

When you submit photos for check-ins, profile info (age, weight, goals), or chat messages, you grant BodyBuilder AI a limited, non-exclusive license to process this content for the sole purpose of providing the Service to you. Photos are processed by our AI provider to generate your analysis and are stored locally on your device. We do not sell your data or photos to anyone.

You represent that any content you submit is yours to submit, doesn't violate anyone's rights, and isn't unlawful.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to:

Resell, scrape, or reverse engineer the Service or its underlying prompts
Submit content that is illegal, infringing, harassing, or sexually explicit (especially involving minors)
Attempt to access other users' data or our systems without authorization
Use the Service for any commercial coaching practice without our written permission

7. Intellectual property

The BodyBuilder AI™ name, logo, website design, sales copy, app interface, prompt engineering, and all original code are owned by us. You may not copy, redistribute, or use them for your own products. Your subscription gives you a license to USE the Service, not to own or copy it.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee any specific physique, performance, or health outcome. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your situation.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BodyBuilder AI™ and its owners, contractors, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim.

10. Medical disclaimer (read this)

BodyBuilder AI does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. We do not provide medical, nutritional, or psychological advice. Always consult a qualified medical professional before starting any exercise or nutrition program. If you experience pain, injury, or any concerning symptom, stop immediately and seek medical attention.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for any reason, including for violation of these Terms. On termination, your right to use the Service ends, but provisions on IP, disclaimers, and liability survive.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the new Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notification where possible.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which BodyBuilder AI's owner resides, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be resolved through binding individual arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for IP claims. You waive any right to participate in a class action against us.
